Rules & Regulations
- All persons must pay fees or show their passes at the bath house before entering the pool.
- The following twelve (12) rules and regulations are in accordance with the Illinois Department of Public Health Codes for public swimming pools:
- Admission to the pool is refused to any person having any contagious disease or infectious condition.
- Food and drinks (except bottled water) are not permitted on the pool deck.
- Personal conduct in the pool and bath house shall be such that the safety of the individual or others is not jeopardized.
- People wearing street shoes and clothing are not permitted in the pool area.
- Non-swimming apparel may not be worn in the pool (example: cut-offs).
- All children who are not toilet-trained shall wear tightly fitting disposable swim diapers.
- No glass items are permitted in the pool area.
- No dogs or other pets will be permitted in in the pool area.
- Unnecessary conversations with, or annoying of a lifeguard while on duty is prohibited.
- Unruly behavior that presents a danger to yourself will not be tolerated.
- Children under ten (10) years of age will not be permitted to enter the pool unless accompanied by a person at least sixteen years of age. If that person is not a relative, he or she must be designated by a parent of the child as being responsible for the care and conduct of the child.
- Patrons are required to obey lifeguard instructions at all times.
- No child will be permitted in the deep area of the pool, unless he/she can demonstrate the ability to swim two widths of the pool, in good form, and tread water for at least 30 seconds.
- Parents or caregivers are responsible for supervising children in the splash pad area. Caregivers must be age 16 or older.
